The thick plottens...or the plot thickens

Well, life kinda sucks sometimes, and you gotta roll with it.  The elecrician guy came back out tonight.  Told us what the problems was.  It's nothing he did.  It's between the main fuse box and the 220 fuse box.  The electrical surge or failure burned something in there.  His charge to fix it?  $750.  Our deductible if we have someone else fix it?  $55.  Yeah, we'll wait.

This sucks.  It's hot, we're miserable, can't sleep or relax, have to wait for another electrician.  Still no a/c.  Still no dryer.  Still wondering why life can be so unjust.  I have a lot going for me.  I have a great job and a wonderful family.  Many people do not have that.  Still, I can't help but wonder "why me?" when this crap happens.

I'm too sad/moody to keep going.  A bake-sale/lemonade stand will be coming soon, to pay for the crap that needs fixed around here.  Come hungry.

If only you could remember your first home.  But you were newborn, and don't recall the rats that greeted us our first night.  And how cold that house was, since all we had was a space heater, the fan of which didn't work.  Tough times never last.  Tough people do.  (Norman Vincent Peale said that)

Oh, Sweetie....I'm so sorry you have all this shit to deal with right now.  The good news is that cooler weather is in store for the weekend.  When my dryer quit a few years ago, I would just spray my shirts with a bit of water and let them hang in a doorway.  The wrinkles come out.  As for the "outdoorsy" smell -- just wear a little extra cologne.  I've been through all this stuff.  I love you, darlin'!!
