Well, we got here safe and sound. Everyone was a bit more grumpy today, but still amazingly well-behaved. The van did great (see Kevin, it *IS* fine!) and we were here by 4:15. We had an orange, then some dinner (tortilla soup), then took a walk around the neighborhood, enjoying the interesting variety of plants and trees.
Tomorrow we will head to South Padre Island to picnic, collect shells, and build sand castles. We will probably even buy some assorted junk at a variety of tourist traps!
For now, though, I'm exhausted, and the girls are having a tough time settling down for bed, and the only way to fix that is for me to go in there and crash between them. I'll try to check back in tomorrow if time allows!
