I admit that we eat dinner earlier than most folks. I get home from work at 6, and we have dinner VERY shortly after. Especially with Kevin off work. The girls go to bed at 9, and a 6:00 dinner works for us. Is that incredibly early?
Monica has a friend over tonight. We ate around 5:30 or 6. She asked if she could have a second friend over, so we said "yes" and she made the call. Friend number 2 had to eat dinner first, and would come over after that. We just got the call, at 10:00, that friend is on her way, from Olive Garden.
Going out to dinner might make it a bit late, but eating at 9? When you're 12 years old? I'm just sayin'. I'm sure it's me that is weird, but a 9:00 dinner seems weird to me.
Who am I? I'm the chick that hasn't poked her head out the door a single time today, and is sitting in bed, watching Gone Country on CMT and drinking a beer while browsing the WWW on a laptop meant for work. Who am I to judge?
Kevin is doing well. He had a follow up appointment in which the Dr. informed him that his rotator cuff was torn 30% and the labrum wasn't just torn, it was ripped from the bone. Staples reattached it, but it's going to be a long road. He'll be off work for at least another 4 weeks. *sigh*
OK, leave me alone, now. I have important TV watching to do. Oh yeah, and I might need a snack or something, so hand me some pretzels on your way out, ok? And maybe a beer? I heard the dryer, too, so make sure to switch loads and fold what comes out of the dryer.
Thanks.

I prefer an early dinner, but it really depends on my work hours. If I'm working until 2am I'll eat dinner at 8-9pm. But, a normal household day, usually around 6pm is good.
Maybe her friend just ate late 'cause they were eating out, Saturday night, popular restaurant with a line, you know...
Enjoy your night.
Pam
I've been known to grill a steak at midnight on the weekends...or maybe fry chicken at 10 am. I'm a wild child. Don't judge.

We're late eaters here. Actually, now that I think about it....all of Jesse's family eats after 7.

Growing up dinner was at 5 pm sharp (dad's work hours required it). For the longest time, I tried to have dinner ready to go by 5:30. But during last year when hubby's schedule was so erratic, we discovered that if we eat dinner just an hour later (around 6-6:30), we can be here all together AND we are less likely to snack during the evening. So.. we've pushed dinnertime back to after 6pm. Estela
I have always hated to see young children eating late at restaurants. Grown up can make the decision but the little ones must get awfully hungry and tired that late!
We eat about 7:30 to 8:00. We are all home by 6:00 usually and then by the time dinner is ready it is about 7:30. I have always preferred to eat by 6:00. But our commute takes care of that idea. I know people in big cities often make reservations for 9:00 or so. That just blows me away. But I guess by the time they get home and get back out....it has to be that late. LOL I think I'd just say forget it, we'll eat crackers and cheese at home. Wow I guess you all are going to get some ice and snow today? I've got the weather channel on.
Be safe.

We get off at 6 pm the kids are at my moms and they have already had dinner..Jim and I head to the Gym for about and hour and 15 mins come home and cool down by that time its 8 then we think about dinner.
I get home from work after 2, and I start dinner then, everyone is home before 4 there is times we eat before 4. I perfer not to eat that early, but when the shoes comes off I am done. It is there choice to eat or not. Thank goodness for that little box called a microwave. Everyone has to be done by 6 and the dishes done.
Rachel, I eat dinner around 5 or 6 usually, I'm with you on the 9:00 , way too late !!!!!!!!!! Hugs Lisa
We eat supper at around 6 on Mon, Tues, Wed, but on Thurs, Fri, Sat, I do not get home til around 7:30 so we have a late supper on those days...usually just soup, or take out. Lol
love ya,
carlene
ps....unless that was a special occassion for that child's family that was real late.
PS....
My husband danny had a torn rotor cuff and it was very painful...hope Kevin continues to improve.
Also...have you tried the new Town House FlipSides Pretzel Crackers? I just tried the cheddar and they are sooooooooo good!!!!
We've always eaten dinner at 6 pm.
My doctor thought I originally had a torn rotator cuff. But I have adhesive capulitis. My doctor said it's the most painful thing he treats. You wake up with the pain, you go to sleep with the pain, and the pain wakes you up in the middle of the night. Believe me that's an understatement.
We eat between 5:30 and 6 most of the time. My kids are in bed by 8 so 9 would be downright cruel!
Traci
between 5-7 for me.
SS abouy Kevein, but hey look at the bright side, 4 more weeks of dinner done!
