Well, we're home. The surgery took less than 45 minutes this time, although the Dr. said the damage was worse than they had anticipated. He had a torn rotator cuff, as well as the tear to the labrum that they knew about. They did the repair work, but the Dr. had some concerns.
He said that the tissue isn't in very good shape in there. He's afraid that it will be easy to damage it again, if he's not careful. There is much for us to talk about and decide, but not today.
Today, we'll just be thankful that it's over, and he's ok, and he's home.

I'm so glad he's home and things went well. Take care.

Rachel, I am confused , maybe out of the loop, who had surgery ? your dad ?
your dog ? Hugs Lisa
Thank goodness everything went well with the surgery, the other stuff can be figured out later. Give Kevin my best and I hope he has a quick recovery. I know that you probably worried most of the night so you get some rest too, that's Dr. June's orders! LOL

I'm glad the surgery went well.
Hey, here's a thought: They just did away with that rule where Cliff works that wouldn't let them hire relatives. I don't think they're hiring right now, but maybe when they are...
He'll have to be really careful...I guess he knows. We have a guy at work that has had the surgery several times...keeps tearing b/c he keeps overdoing it.
Bless his heart I know he is ready to be all well again. Sorry you are having to travel while he is in recoup mode but the girls probably will enjoy helping while Mom is away. <I know b/c my Teen cleans when I'm away - she feels it is her roost then --let me come back and she's a chair potato and on the PC! LOL>
