Detroit, day two

We didn't have breakfast in bed, but we had breakfast beside the bed.  Does that count?  We explored the hotel campus for a bit, then I went to work the booth, and Kevin headed off the the Automotive Hall of Fame.  He took a ton of pictures, which have no captions, since I wasn't there to know about anything.  He did a pretty good job of taking pictures of signs, though, so you know what you're looking at.  Most of that is for Dad and Jim, and will bore the rest of you to tears.

Kevin got to the airport in time, riding with the most racist cab driver in the history of cabs.  He got to the gate to find that the flight had been moved to another gate.  He made his way to the opposite end of the terminal to find it moved again.  He finally got to the third gate and on the plane.  His seat was in the very last row.  They left about 25 minutes late, and arrived only 12 minutes late.

He's home, now.  Home with the girls, who did absolutely AWESOME for the sitter.  She mentioned that they argued a bit, but she doesn't have siblings, so she doesn't realize that arguing is normal.  Grandpa didn't need a call, and everyone was safe and happy.  They even cleaned, did laundry and dishes, and kicked it up a notch for us.  I'm so proud I can hardly stand it.

Well, I'm wiped out, so I'm off to bed.  No room service tomorrow.  I'll meet with the sales rep at the hotel restaurant, then work the booth from 11-3.  Then we have to get the booth packed up in under 2 hours, so I can get to the airport.  No pressure.  LOL  Actually, we can do it.  I'm not worried.

See ya later, probably from home.  Sweet, sweet home.

Cliff and I enjoyed the pictures!  Weather permitting, I think we might head to Branson Saturday morning.

Is that a yogurt parfait in that glass with breakfast?!?!?  It looks good.  (I feel so Homer-ish at this minute....LMAO)

Yes, Amy, it is a strawberry-granola parfait with big ol' strawberry halves throughout.  Wonderful stuff.

Glad you hubby got home okay! So happy the kids kicked it up a notch for the sitter! Isn't it great to have kids who can act descent when they really need to?
