Ups and Downs

A buddy from work came over for the evening, riding home with me.  Had a great time, watching Kevin kick our butts at Trivial Pursuit.

Took the puppy to the vet for her last puppy/first dog shots.  She got her tags and everything, but it was $100!  Way more than we budgeted.

Took work buddy home and puppy slept peacefully on my lap as I drove, talking to my ride-along, Natalie.

Puppy barfed in my lap 10 minutes from the house.  Barfed a LOT.

Saw my aunt Maxine and ate too much of mom's wonderful cooking this afternoon.

Drove home with Hawkeye riding shotgun in the LeBaron.  He almost barfed, TWICE!  Time to stop transporting dogs?

Had a relaxing evening catching up on laundry and watching Nascar. (sorry Russ)

Yup, there have been many ups and downs today, but the ups were worth it.

Everytime I see "Nascar" I think of Russ...(((oops. Don't tell him I have read almost every entry since his beginning and I have fallen in love with him. ;) It has taken me about a month.))) Seriously.

Sorry the puppy got sick. Hope she is feeling better.

Don'tcha love the ups? :)

Hee...the Golden is ALWAYS hacking in our car....  The vet told me to give him Benadryl and he wouldn't get carsick.  I haven't tried it though....  Maybe after I buy a portable steam cleaner...LOL

A $100 trip to the vet is why we space out the 'furkid' vet trips here... January is Morgans, Febuary is D.K. and either Mar or Apr (according to when I can get a vet to visit) for Boo. They are each between $100 and $200 for their yearly things.. PLUS D.K. and Morgan get the expensive once a month flea treatments, and Boo... well, every other month wormer plus farrier every 6 weeks... yep, sometimes -I- can't afford to go to the Doc cause they get taken care of first <LOL> But, I wouldn't have it any other way... they are bright spots in our lives!

Poor Russ... yep, G. watched Nascar last night too. I even watched for a little bit a couple of times... mostly replays of the accidents when G. would be. "You gotta see this" <LOL>

Watch all the Nascar you want, little darlin'.  I'm in a forgiveness mood which expires in about three hours from now.

Love,
Russ

So sorry about the barfing! I hate that more than pooping! I save money and buy my puppy shots from coop. I can get all but rabies here.
