Afraid to be let down again

Another quick update....

The chest tube was removed today (again!) and Dad looks great.  He was laughing again.  There is a small air bubble in there again, but they told us it's normal, again.  *sigh*  They will xray again tomorrow, and he MIGHT go home tomorrow.  I'm trying not to get my hopes upagain .  I want him well enough to go home, before he goes home...but I want him HOME!

I've been tending to the animals in the morning and Brett does it after school.  In the evening, it's one of the two of us doing it again.  Poor Sadie wants her mamma home.  Brett's been so good about playing frisbee with her in the afternoons, so she can burn some energy and not feel forgotten.

Is it possible to be hopeful without getting your hopes up?  I'll answer that tomorrow.  Tomorrow, when we wait.....again!

I hope the bubble goes away and he is home very soon but its good to stay as long as necessary. I bet he is healing nice while there. Nice of you to take care of things at home so "Mom" and Dad don't have to have something else to worry about... God Bless, Sandra

Thanks for the update.  We know you'll post another again.  Or maybe Mosie will.  Glad to know that your dad keeps improving and continued prayers his way.

It's awful in a hospital.  Things happen in hospitals on what I call "hospital time." It's different than the rest of the world.  Everyone heals differently.  Sounds like Cliff is doing well.  And you can bet he wants to be home too!!  They want to be sure before sending him home.  Just be glad he's healing well.  Nice of you to take care of the farm for your parents.

Your MOM and DAD are tough!  You come from good stock.  My best friends husband had six by-passes, then cancer, chemo and radiation, then a major automobile accident. He is a survivor.........5 or 6 yrs now.  It's good that they are getting everything straightened out at the hospital so when he does come home, he'll get better.  Your Mom will nurse him back to health, just don't put a bell by his bed.  haaaaaaaaaaaa!   Anne

Rachel, I hope he comes home today too.  I pray for you, Kevin, the kids and both your Mom and Dad, daily.

Please, please tell them I send my love and wait for that posting that says, "He's home"

Someone said, "Your Mom and Dad are tough".  Well, so are you.

Sending love to all,

Joanna
