I read an entry tonight about bathing a dog...made
me feel guilty. My dog stinks. He's way past bathtime.
Tonight was the night. He hates baths. I mean, hates them
like toonguy
hates republicans. Hates.Them. He got one anyway.
Poor thing. The undercoat that he has makes it a long process to
get all of the doggie shampoo rinsed out. Sheesh.

So, I hope you're happy about abusing my grand-dog. Martin Luther King Jr. would likely have something to say about this.
I can relate....Gordo has a wicked thick coat, too. I bought one of those undercoat rake/shedder combs and it worked wonders. The dog was skinnier than I thought without all that fur....LOL

LOL....London looks at me the same way when I bathe her. That dog looks less than happy with you! Speaking about the undercoat reminded me that I saw somewhere where you can buy a special nozzle that will make the water more powerful when washing your dog. I need to try and find that doohicky. London's adult coat is beginning to come in and I'm gonna need more than my wimpy shower head to get through all the fur! ;o)
Try using waterless shampoo. Gimmer is great. I used to use it on my show dogs. However, you can only buy it at stores that cater to show supplies.
My dog usually got a bath once a year when it was time for her spring fur cut. It was just too much of a PITA to do it more often. Even when she was old and arthritic she'd move pretty quick when we started washing her down. One of these days, I'mma gonna try and wash my cat. That should be fun.....
You are a mean mama. A bath in the winter time? Are you trying to make that dog sick? Just kidding hun.
I have Great Danes...so giving them a bath is alot of work....and we do it outdoors! LOL!
